Vaer's new Automatics and "Dirty Dozen"

Has anyone checked out California based Vaer's new Automatics?
Or "Dirty Dozen" watches already?

There are three watches with either a Miyota 9015, ETA 2824, or ETA
2895 as the movement choice. With other details looking to include
40mm stainless steel cases, 100m WR, sapphire crystals, and black,
white, or blue dials with nice hands, and markers. Then you have
nylon, or Horween leather straps also.

As much as I like what this brand is trying to do I get no "wow' factor from them. I checked out their watches at Wind Up and I kept walking by.

Not a fan of “vintage” lime, but if you’re going to use it, make the hands and dial match.

Wow Terry, that's neat that you actually got to see these in person like that !
They do seem pretty subtle, and understated, but I guess that is what they
were maybe going for. ..Oh, and great observation also with the lume Henry !

Hey Tom, thank you for sharing. They are simple military inspired watches but there are many ways to design the dial and the hands. The obvious mismatch of the markers and the rest of the dial/hand on the 3rd watch might even be made on purpose, although I personally don't like it. But I have seen that before in other watches and parts. The Hamilton Military watch is an example. Maybe it is a new trend but I personally would prefer uniformity. That 3rd watch also has the best looking dial of the 3, the other 2 remind me of Timex... not that it is bad, just plain and not eye catching.

Mostly personal opinions of course...
