Didn’t Carlo do something like that?

I like them both. A matte ceramic insert would make it perfect.

While I certainly understand the allure of the ceramic insert, I want to keep the design specs more inline with the original style.
Appreciate your input though!

I'm fairly certain the original had an acrylic bezel insert.Bradystraps wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 8:52 amWhile I certainly understand the allure of the ceramic insert, I want to keep the design specs more inline with the original style.

Yup. Unless you are talking about the original MKII Blackwater.abuemily wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 9:47 amI'm fairly certain the original had an acrylic bezel insert.Bradystraps wrote: ↑Mon Sep 24, 2018 8:52 amWhile I certainly understand the allure of the ceramic insert, I want to keep the design specs more inline with the original style.

Looks good Todd! Do these have any lume on the bezel?

Thank you!

No. Standard aluminum bezel insert. Trying to keep with the minimalistic look and feel of the watch.

Bamford does some fruity versions for those so inclined:

They are not all bad

^^^ Bamford has your white dial.Axelay2003 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 23, 2018 8:32 amHas anyone done a white dial Mil Spec watch? Acrylic or sapphire done and white aluminum insert.
This would be something different and unique, IMO.
Looks good otherwise, but hoping the lug hole position be closer towards the case.

I saw that! Still, I want to see if Karlskrona can do it with a white bezel insert. Never been done before.gonzomantis wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 5:20 am^^^ Bamford has your white dial.Axelay2003 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 23, 2018 8:32 amHas anyone done a white dial Mil Spec watch? As much as i would love to try that combo, Gerard, I'm just not sure there is a market for it. Perhaps if the first run of watches do well, I can take a stab at a white dial/white bezel insert.

A white dial with a black insert would look great.

^^^ Todd --- stick with the black dial, you will have more customers. And too expensive to offer a second white dial option for this one.

2nd renderings look really good
I was hoping the hands would be a bit thicker than your 1st showed, looks like they are?

Re: Karlskrona Hemlig Mil Series Dive Watch
Unfortunately I cannot see any of those pics, I am blocked... but I would like to share a couple of pics of the last project I did with the Baltic Shield where keeping the original dial I installed some MKII hands originally made for Seiko movements. These seem to be a nice size and width...
Maybe it can help with the new project from Todd.

Re: Karlskrona Hemlig Mil Series Dive Watch
Hello, I’m totally new to this forum, but I’m here for the Hemlig! I’ve been looking for Military inspired dive watch for quite sometime, this might be the best one available. Here is my 2cent for it: most of the discussion so far is about 2D design. For me, what is so attractive about vintage watches is their thin case profile. Look at the picture to see what I mean:
Original Benrus Type 1 case: see how thin the mid-case is, the seamless flow from bezel to crystal

And now some homages:
Mkii Paradive: thick thick case

Precista prs-18

The only who nailed the proportion is mkii blackwater, which is out of production for a long time and rare as hens teeth:

I hope to see the Hemlig in the future with this sexy original profile of the Benrus!
