I'm really not sure what that is either. Looks like some kind of a bastard child to me...

I like the orange the best out of those.

To be fair, they also made some really decent watches. I owned a few and found the models I owned to be well made. Some of their earlier releases are actually very much still in demand and selling for far over the original MSRP.Seppia wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 11:25 pmAren’t these the same guys who made the Tactico Anko, where the dial was not secured and detactched, who basically left the customers holding the bag telling them there was nothing they could do?
Ho are they still in business?
Well, Yao is probably still in business so nothing is impossible
That Anko thing (and more importantly how they handled it) was definitely a tarnish on their reputation, but not enough to turn the tide of public opinion against them.
As for this watch, the design doesn’t really resonate with me. I’m just not a fan of that hour hand.

I like most everything save for the hour hand - just not a cathedral hand guy. other than that, looks good to me
Re: Crepas making a Heuer homage
I really like these. If it wasn’t for my pre order responsibility I would put money down on a black ETA version.

I like it, but what happens in 5 years when I need case parts (seals, etc.). Will they still be around?

same. they even offered to give out free sunglasses for people's troubles but i don't think that came thru either.Seppia wrote: ↑Wed Aug 03, 2022 11:25 pmAren’t these the same guys who made the Tactico Anko, where the dial was not secured and detactched, who basically left the customers holding the bag telling them there was nothing they could do?

Probably not.Selym wrote:I like it, but what happens in 5 years when I need case parts (seals, etc.). Will they still be around?
I owned a couple Crepas and they were great, but the latest fiasco turned me off.
Re: Crepas making a Heuer homage
I agree with our esteemed colleague, Hop.
I doubt any micro keeps case parts, etc., around for any length of time after the model sells out. Even if the brand still exists, parts are probably non-existent.
If the seals are a standard size, you might be in luck, but strip a crown and you’re probably screwed.
Re: Crepas making a Heuer homage
Agreed!

You guys are harsh. It’s really not that far off from the original:

Re: Crepas making a Heuer homage
It's a good homage, but I don't like the original.
Re: Crepas making a Heuer homage
Have to say, they look nice to me, and even though the hands might not
seem as modern as the design. It is true to the original as a Ben pointed
out,
so that’s another positive. Plus the addition of more dial colors,
as well as dueling movements like Brice said is great.
All in all it, or
they seem very nice.
I know that they were very nice, and very cool to see. So thanks very
very much Terry !!!

Re: Crepas making a Heuer homage
When I first looked at these, I was like why those hands but then I remembered the Heuer, but I kept looking at the Crepas and thinking why doesn’t it look as good as the one it homages and then I realized it was the patina lume.
Brands really need to stop with the patina or fauxtina lume. It looks good on about 5 watches total I’ve ever seen and most times brands make it almost an orange color and it’s just really off putting. I’d be happy if I never saw it on another watch again to be honest.
Like the C65 from CW. The blue model has C1 lume, so it’s white on the dial, but then the black model has the faux lume. So you are forced to either but the blue dial or not buy either. Make these as optional if you must use it but still offer the standard lume as well.

Re: Crepas making a Heuer homage
if they made the hands like this exactly then it would have been better. and some c3 lume would have sick. the combo they used looks half-assed imo
