Seiko 5 Diver Reissue SRPK17
Seiko 5 Diver Reissue SRPK17
So this is a more affordable Seiko smaller size diver watch reissue. I kind of like it but not sure how does 39.5mm wears. What do you think?

I think it looks great and actually tried to pre order a while back but was too late. Pretty true to the original. 39.5 is basically 40 which is my sweet spot.

Still left 15,554 pcs minus the one that you missed.

Re: Seiko 5 Diver Reissue SRPK17
Haha. I was on Seiko watch forum and I clicked on a link that everyone was buying from- it was sold out. Not sure where it was.
I may be looking at this one on the used market when they come out.

Seiko really needs to stop with LEs
That, and they need to start regulating their movements.
A few years back, I had a ton of seikos:
Skx009 at $130/150, Alpinist SARB017 at $400, Tunas SBBN015/17 around $6-700, MM300 and Grand Seiko quartz at $1200 new
Great watches, readily available, for ridiculously cheap prices.
Now prices have 3x, while quality has stayed the same.
That, and they need to start regulating their movements.

I bought a cheap watch from a crazy man
Floating down canal
It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just says now
Now you may be thinking that I was had
But this watch is never wrong

You need to see one of the new SJE093’s.Baffo wrote:Seiko really needs to stop with LEs

I don't doubt that for a second. I could only get one used though.Chocodove wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 3:56 amYou need to see one of the new SJE093’s.Baffo wrote:Seiko really needs to stop with LEs

Having done business with Japan for many years, I can totally picture buying a $3500 watch, only to find out the "accuracy" is -9spd, contacting Kaneda-san from Seiko and getting back an email that says
"Dear Baffo-san,
Good day!
We are honored that you decided to purchase Seiko model SJE093 limited edition.
Thank you for inquiring about the time keeping you have measured at -9 second per day.
This is in the movement range of -10/+15spd, so we cannot honor your request.
Now I will go out enjoy numerous highballs and skewers at the local izakaya, and will probably pass out in the yamanote line on my way home.
Thank you and hope you enjoy your Seiko model SJE093 limited edition"
Re: Seiko 5 Diver Reissue SRPK17
Lol. I will say I’m impressed with the new movement. +1.6/day after 24 days, which isn’t abnormal based on reports on others here and WUS. I wonder if they quietly regulated these before they went out the door since it’s the first watch with the 6L37.Baffo wrote:I don't doubt that for a second. That’s a great looking Seiko, I’m very tempted to grab one.
