International Seiko Country of Manufacture?

Hi guys, maybe a dumb question but, what is the difference between JDM and international watches? I am looking specifically at SRPE07 vs SRPE07K1.

I’m not convinced there is any actual difference in quality or origin. Others will swear I’m wrong.

Thanks, I was curious after watching some YouTube reviews stating JDM has higher QA standards than international units. Also they stated that JDM says made in Japan on it instead of just stating it has a Japanese movement.

JDM - Japan Domestic Market - watches made for Japan Market only not usually marketed or sold outside of Japan

Made in Japan - watch is made entirely in Japan can be sold wherever the model is for

Mvmnt Japan - only the movement is made in Japan, the rest is made/case somewhere else.

Everything else - made and cased in other locations.

Just got my SRPE07 Great White today. First Seiko for me. I was a little worried after reading peoples issues with bezel alignment but this thing is spot on. The dial is just stunning in the sunlight! Feels a little small but I have been wearing an Autozilla on a massive bracelet daily for years so, yeah, it's a bit different.

I'm happy I took a chance on Seiko- I did not expect disappointment from an iconic watch company and I was not.

The price was so good I could not pass it up... I got it from Macy's for 380.00 on a Black Friday sale.
