Don't know if anyone seen this one yet.

And out of over 48,000 possible combinations, the winner is a gold dial, Pepsi bezel diver that bears more than a passing resemblance to the Seiko 6139, better known as the Pogue.

What's the street/gray-market price for these 100m versions? It's kind of odd that their 'new' baseline diver mold doesn't have a screw down crown.

I like the idea. Yeah, it’s twice the price of the “Willard” I had, but the better movement and grey dial are appealing.

I saw that $499 and assumed it was the inflated book price. Egads that’s a lot for what’s basically a 100m mod Pogue.

There's two of them, and this is the larger 44mm case (not the 42mm "Willard"). SLA049 has the blue bezel and is limited to 1,200 pieces ($3,100); SLA051 is not limited ($2,900)

The crown position is slightly different than the Willard. It's just after 4, instead of just before 4.

The original (6105-8110) had the crown right at 4.

What the hell drives these decisions?

I see. The SBDX047 is basically a non-limited-edition SBDX031 with a different dial. :salute:

If it didn’t have that x on the dial maybe they could get away with their asking price...

This shouldn’t matter to me but it does. I would never pay over $1K for a Seiko with the X logo on the dial.

What about $8k plus for a crown in the dial? Or $4k for the Pelagos with a paragraph at 6?

The X looks nice, I’ve never understood the issue some have with it.

Makes little sense, but that logo, which I’m ok with on cheap Seikos, annoys me on more expensive watches. When buying my current MM300 I opted for the non-logo version even though I love the gold hands of the new one.

As far as logos go, I don't think it is bad at all.
In fact I think it is cleverly designed.

Professional Specification = Prospex = P.S shaped like an X

Some graphic designer is probably very proud of himself

I have SBDX017 so no logo on dial, but I do get one on the crown

I like that new Astron. Good to see something wearable in that line.

I like everything about that. At 10mm and Ti, I'll bet it wears like a dream.
