Seiko skx007 and the like, sterile caseback

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out if this is a good idea. I'm thinking a modded skx007 and similar with non Seiko dials like dagaz and yobokies might be better suited with a sterile caseback. What do you think? Or who would like a sterile caseback just because?

Each person has his/her own idea, opinion and taste. What really matters is if you like it. If you want an overall opinion then the question would probably better be asked to the proper public, meaning people on a Seiko forum or affordable or similar. I personally don't like it and the one in the picture gives an idea of cheapness, low quality and not desirable, but that's me.

I have to go along with the consensus here. The caseback design and execution is part of what makes the SKX007 such an amazing value for <$200.

I agree that the sterile polished look appears "cheap". Now I have seen it done with some brush marks remaining and that looked okay to me. I had some Seiko 7002 case backs engraved for the guys on my shift as gifts last Christmas, the engraver milled them down then worked his magic( see pic)
