Long time ago I bought a Seiko 6309 from Nick nomadz. It was in decent shape, original dial, AM hands and it needed serviced.:

Always being one to service a watch and lose money in the long run, I decided to send it to Jack at IWW to overhaul it. I also bought a hacking lever a while back and finally decided to install it.
I initially wanted to keep it all OG. Searched for original hands but no luck. So Jack did a movement service, gaskets, sapphire crystal and NO case refinishing.
I got it back and was happy- except for the dial and hands didn't match. The dial had a slight yellow bird poop color and the AM hands were bright and green tinted.:

Decided if I wanted to keep it I would have to fix it right. Sent it back to Jack after a few days.
Jack scraped off the old lume and put on a fresh coat of white lume. And guess what? He found a set of original hands!!:

So Jacky boy overhauled it, sapphire crystal, hacking lever, original hands installed and fresh coat of lume on the hands and dial, original case and bezel/insert, no case finishing.
I couldn't be happier with it.
