Grand Seiko SBGA029 + NATO

Post by hoppyjr » Thu Jan 17, 2013 4:55 pm

Hey gang,

I'm a happy guy today! My GS diver arrived and I immediately put it on a NATO strap - it's exactly what I have wanted. The lume shot is from walking in from being outside about five minutes. The watch is amazing. Thanks to Nishant for making it happen

Thanks guys - it was definitely worth selling my other stuff to make this one a reality.

While I still like Rolex and have nothing bad to say about the brand, this is the Sub they should have built - with a 44 mm case, lug holes, and no ceramic - it's perfect for me.

Yes. Since I've got the PO 8500 on bracelet and VAT & JDD on Isofrane, I wanted this specifically for a NATO.

Crap! Just when I was really sold that my MM300 is THE ONE, this comes along. I've seen pics before, but that really is nice on the NATO. What's the size on that one, I really hope it's too big.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

Thanks - I had in my mind that this would be perfect on NATO and it is

In fairness, I'd have likely went with a MM300 if it wore just a touch larger. Everyone I talked to and every photo I saw on a larger wrist gave me the impression I wouldn't like it on my 8" wrist. I do think the MM300 is a stellar watch.

I've wanted a GS diver since first time I saw photos way back when, but the desire became stronger after getting info and pics from JeJe, Dave, and Zack. The pics Nishant took sent me over the top and I popped. Had to have one. Really, really, REALLY love it.

Thanks to all those who fed my addiction :)
