Agree! Wears better than a U1, and the U1 is also a "small" 44mm.

I'm actually checking prices of the blue dial version (blue hole?!?).
The great blue hole is no longer on the seiko japan prospex page. Maybe it's been discontinued now that these are out. I do think the blue hole dial is nicer.

I might flip the green willard for the MM200 bruiser.

How do you like the strap that comes with the green Willard?

I was thinking of buying one, but I can't find any for sale. Apparently the Seiko part number is R03E011J0 (or R03E011J9 in the US).

If it's shit, I'll stop trying to find one.

So they have shaved the SPB185 & SPB187 models down from 44mm to 42mm. Very interesting......

If these wear like a 40mm as I expect, I’ll get one for sure, unless I hit a great bonus which would shift my attention to a 36mm DJ
i’m sure they will. bezel diameter of the old version was 42mm, bet this one is 40mm. I imagine it wears like the old 42mm planet ocean, but thinner.

Can't vouch for this, but someone from IG sent me this photos. Apparently the case without a watch inside is from one of the new MM200's, which he refers to the MM42:

Not a huge difference, but probably enough to make some people happy.

I want one.
Was hoping to see it yesterday at the AD when I stopped but to drop off a watch, but they didn’t have it yet

I just which Seiko would have used the same bezel insert on the new model, it looked great in person.

Beautiful! I might get that one, or the previous MM200 (again) to wear it on a canvas strap... I want to put my PO on the bracelet again.

That blue dial should look good with a distressed OD canvas strap from DAS.

Edit: WIth the thicker bezel, it resembles more the MM300.

This one tops the want list for me now. However, not really in the watch buying mood of late so I can wait.

I'm late to this thread, but I actually really dig the new white Shogun, probably going to end up picking one up when they become available.

That new MM200 is also pretty nice. Takes my favorite elements from the MM300 and shrinks it down while keeping the same vibe.

Seiko is on a real hot streak this year.

I’m fairly certain a white Shogun is just another name for cultural appropriation, so I can’t support this.
