Seiko SARB series

Anyone here owned one? I've been thinking about a SARB033 for a long time now. I thought I would eventually go for a GS but I already feel a bit weird lately having as much money in a watch like the Tuna when I'm historically a $500 watch guy, so the GS definitely isn't happening. Seiya has these under $400 right now.

I think they look great and also as alternative to a GS.

I never owned one, but many guys out there bought for same reasoning as yourself.

They seem to get scooped up pretty quick on the sales forums.

Great line of watches. 6r15 is a reliable movement with 50 hours of power reserve. Go for it. Sarb line is one of the great values in the watch world.

They wear very small. Brother-in-law has one that I tried on and it just felt tiny. Smaller than the Sinn 556 I had.

I was looking at that one too and had the same reservations. I like the 6R15 movement and the Sumo no matter how hard I tried was not a keeper either time I had it. I'm sure I'll own another 6R15 watch at some point, most likely the 033. I think this would be my first watch purchase in 10+ years that didn't have a 200m+ depth rating. it would be my first watch without a rotating bezel that wasn't a G-Shock.

I have always kept an eye on the Sarbs, especially this Alpinist, but the size has always scared me off.

The size would concern me, but I've always kept smaller watches the longest. The Tuna works for me because of the short lugs, but the Sumo wore too large for my tastes.

I've got the SARB035 and although it isn't huge it, I think the size is okay - especially for a dressier watch. The dial goes anywhere from white, to cream, to pearl. Here are a couple pics for reference on an aprox. 7" wrist.

If you have an issue with size, there is also the SARB059, with an SKX case, 6R15 movement and super dark green dial. I've been tempted. I think it comes on a SEL bracelet as well.

Might be really interesting with a Murphy bezel and dive insert. Hmmm....

If you like them they are definitely worth the money. I had the SARB35 and the SCVS001 and they were great. I still have the Alpinist SARB013, 015 and 017. Best watch for the money.

033 on the way. The lume pushed me over the edge over the 021. I have some other plans in the works that will have me listing the Tuna in the sales forum too. I didn't think I'd ever do that, but things change.

It's the hands and dial layout- i absolutely love it.
I think they made a black dial that's been out of production for a while.

I saw all images one by one and every Seiko Model is good. when you use then you can feel.
