New Seiko Watch (identifying watch)

Post by cal2291 » Sun Feb 18, 2024 9:23 am

Hi all,
I have recently bought my first watch (a Seiko), but I'm unsure as to what "model" it is. The back says "Air Divers 200m", though the ones I have found on Google don't look like mine. The person who sold me this watch says it has a custom strap, which would explain why it doesn't look like the watches on google. If needed, I can send a photo of the front, the strap, or the back. Please forgive the noob-ish nature, I am new to owning watches.

Thank you,
Cal

There are many models that have the “Air Diver’s 200m” on the back, so pictures are essential. Also, folks around here really appreciate it when new folks start with a post to introduce themselves.

Hi,
Thank you for replying, gonzomantis. I'll do an introduction and send some photos of the front, sides, and back.
Edit: Just editing to ask where I am meant to introduce myself, I'm not finding anywhere that seems to fit.
Thank you,
Cal

Here are some pictures of the Seiko Watch. I'll provide the numbers found on the back as well. I'll send the link via Imgur as I don't know how to embed images on here.

Text on the back of the watch reads (some omitted due to it not being relevant - such as "Stainless Steel":

Air Divers 200m

V158-0AE0 is the most useful reference for searching on-line.

A quick google found several that look similar, but not that much info.

Looks like a SNE109.
Solar diver, used to come in black as well (SNE107)

Cool piece. Dave Murphy was working on an SKX007 type bezel to replace that funky one. Don’t know if he ever finished it.
