Those look good, but these new cases look Omega chunky regardless of their measured depths. Even so, I'd prefer this to a modern Explorer 2.

Just in from Toppers. The perfect Seiko. Great size, classic looks, nice movement.

Re: New Seiko Thread
Tried this on today at Feldmar.
I wish it wasn’t wrapped in cellophane, I really wanted to play with the bezel

It sits perfectly on the wrist.
Next to the EZM9

Re: New Seiko Thread
This is just fantastic. A little on the large size for me, but would probably wear great on a single pass NATO.
Re: New Seiko Thread
Seiko does amazing blue dials.
Re: New Seiko Thread
The blue dial is nice, but the Sinn is less expensive and a better choice IMO.
Re: New Seiko Thread
They are the same shape, but very different watches and tough to compare. The Sinn is austere and low key with it's bead blasted finish, compared to the highly faceted and sculpted Seiko with it's great polishing.
I love my Sinn's, but after wearing for a week or two, it is nice to strap on a sparkly Seiko/Grand Seiko for a change.
Re: New Seiko Thread
Not sure if everyone caught the new Seiko Prospex “Black Series”
King Samurai, along with Tortoise.
The watches have 43.8mm, and 42.4 mm black hard-coated
stainless steel cases, nice ceramic, or aluminum unidirectional
bezels, 4R35 calibre automatic, as well as black silicone straps.
Just a few pictures...

Re: New Seiko Thread
i dont' know. sellita does not sell parts and eta parts are not interchangeable. same with stp. kind of a pain. i had to buy extra sellita's and stp's to part out so my watchmaker could repair others.

It’s like a cool vintage watch we might see on eBay, or something.
But that Seiko made a bit more modern, but just as classic. It looks
like Seiko hit a real home run with these, and I’m with you, I like
them also sir.
So happy you enjoyed. ..Want to thank you for sharing your thoughts !!!
Re: New Seiko Thread
I gotta say, the black with silver seconds reminds me of my granddads old waltham bullseye. My cousin has that watch as I took all the guns.
Longines did a rendition that sold out recently, but Rolex did a DJ that wasn’t so popular years ago with a transitioning date wheel. Maybe this old style is catching on?
While this isn’t any of those, it sorta reminds me of that, which makes me happy in a sense. Times have been tough recently, but I’d like to get that 36mm bullseye DJ someday.
