Anyone try the new Arnie?

Post by sierra11b » Wed Oct 16, 2019 3:24 pm

I'm still waiting for the bottom to fall-out on price and demand, but wondering if anyone has tried one yet?

I'm still keen for the snj025 when that time comes.

H851 movt. features seem cool: alarm, chrono, back light, battery test meter, dark power save mode, independent digital time zone (very cool). Time setting reminds me of the X33

I want to, but it’s going to be way to big for me.

What's your wrist size?

Have you ever tried a Tuna-style watch? If not, I think you'd be surprised with the short lug dimensions.

Watch the video. He has a 6.75" wrist and it fits just fine (start at 10:00 and pay attention as he talks fast at 10:06), albeit with a lot of wrist presence, which is a good thing I think for one watch in the collection, especially at the price point. It's just good fun.

I just hope it can be had in the $350-400 range soon.

Tunas actually work pretty well for me. I’d like to actually see one of these in person for sure.

They are actually in that range right now...Mimo’s has them for $393 if you use code seik25. Good peeps. He currently only has the Pepsi in stock, though.

VERY tempting but I think I'll have to wait for the black. The PADI is cool but I get concerned about wearing something I don't rate... Which is why I never considered a JLC Navy SEALs even though I love the design.

Although.... (Here we go!)... That 'merica dial would look great on my olongapo bracelet.

Yes they are. Solar tunas look just about perfect on me while these definitely have more presence, but I like being slightly overwhelmed by the watches I wear. ImageImage

I just can't get past the crowns. Other than that, it looks like it would be a fun grab and go.

I just joined the club. I love how this one wears, not nearly as large as I expected and it just hugs my wrist

They are not to large in person they look like normal crowns. But the size of them makes them easy to operate. I liked the one I briefly had but I kept my og Arnie instead.

I own Terry's PADI and agree the crown size makes them manageable.

Lume on this thing is great as expected and lasts forever.
