Incoming 14k gold 1959 Hamilton

Post by pacifichrono » Fri Mar 31, 2023 9:13 am

I should be receiving this old Hamilton tomorrow. Made in 1959, it's a rare, solid gold "Bradford B." Even more rare is the black dial version, advertised by Hamilton, but not a single example is shown anywhere on the web...except this one. It's equipped with Hamilton's highest grade movement at the time, the 22 jewel 'adjusted' caliber 770.

I just love these dials. I've got a cheapo Bensen-Elektra that was my grandfather's but it's not a high quaility piece with this type of styling. The casing is cheap and the movement is borked. I just love the look of it though.

BTW, is that pic in your signature you as a young Marine?

This is a pic of my uncle as a young Marine in Vietnam.
