Our hobby collecting vintage and military watches has been getting expensive were I know I am not going to over pay any more. I thought my habit was coming to a end due to high prices. But the last two months I been finding a deal or two. Like a trench watch that was used in the book Military Timepieces and then a WW1 Zenith Corps of Engineers pocket watch all for good prices. Vintage divers have been getting expensive to. So I been looking at obscure brands found a cool one a few weeks ago a brand I never heard of was for sell on the bay over in Europe had cool patina I set my limit to 400 it sold for 600 I was not the only one who thought it was cool that's when I got that WW1 US issued zenith as second prize. But still had the itch for a vintage diver. Well Wyler made some cool divers one even looks like a old Rolex explorer and a double crown diver. But I saw this one that the dial looks like a Omega 300 with a different kind of bezel ring. 3 were watching it had 200 starting bid and 300 buy now what the hell buy now it's mine now. It has a solid case design were I guess you remove the crystal and split stem to get to the movement. It will look good with a tropic strap.
There was one of these I been looking at for a long time on eBay same case and bezel but with the explorer style dial and hands with bracelet for 900 but this one the dial and hands I think look better and a cheaper price.

Now here is my deal to you today for a cheap vintage thrill of the day. Here is another Wyler that looks like a Rolex explorer some one here should get it. It's 35mm but it looks cool and a hand winder. Same case set up a solid one piece case like the Benrus type 1. It has make offer see how cheap you can get it.

Nice. Vintage Wylers fly under the radar. Great watches...
Your top watch flies under the radar but those two double crown compressor ones don't any more the price have went up on those. All nice watches you got there.

Now here is another deal. I seen this one before at a NAWCC mart years ago. The original straps are missing. It came in a leather pouch like the Zodiac saw type bezel diver with two types of straps were it's a quick change set up there's a metal piece on each strap you un-hook it from one strap and re-hook it to the other no tools needed it came with a rubber and bracelet straps. I thought it was cool.

I once heard some where, maybe on this forum. That when the Wyler salesmen would walk in a store, he throw a watch across the room to so how good their incabloc system was.

They also throwed one off the space needle and it was still ticking.

It's here. Just ordered a new crystal for it that will be installed when I get it serviced.

And the dial does have the Omega 300 look

Been reading a lot about the balance in the Wyler movements they are tough. We’re the staff won’t brake the way the balance wheel is made. A salesman trying to get a jewelry store to sell there brand would come in and throw a watch against the wall pick it off the ground and show its still ticking. How many times has some one dropped a watch modern or vintage and the staff was done and off for repair. Surprise it’s not used in modern watches today.

I have an old Wyler that perfectly resembles the one in this ad in a black dial. It was my great grandfathers and I really should get it serviced and running again.

Well got it back from being serviced I supplied a original replacement crystal for it. I thought the bezel ring was glued it did not move but I guess it was just stuck now turns with out a problem my watchmaker fixed that. I retouched the paint on the marks on the bezel ring.
