Tutima Commando?
Tutima Commando?
Anyone know of a variant of the Tutima DI 300 called a Commando? (Not to be confused with the chronograph Commando II).
Its got the same titanium case as a regular DI300, but some distinct differences too:
Destro (lefty) crown placement.
Ordinal numbers on the dial.
60 minute numbers on the chapter ring.
"Commando" in green letters at bottom of dial.
I was thinking that maybe Tutima took a page out of Sinn's playbook and made a limited edition for Japan/Far East, but I'm coming up empty using my weak google foo. I know Tutima made a chrono without subdials for an elite German unit some years ago (ala EZM1), but I can't picture actual military guys wearing a watch that announces Commando on it.
Any info appreciated!

Before I posted this, I was going to PM you and ask...if you don't know about it, I guess it will remain a mystery to us all!

Love it. I had the regular 300 and like this one better.

Re: Tutima Commando?
It is a model called Tutima, Di 300 "Commando" Sondermodell Reference Number 629 - seems to be 43mm wide with crown at left or right. Ti case.
I read some place it might have been a version for the Israeli Army, but it was a sales post so not sure about that...
