Info on Waltham Bezel replacement

Post by ChaseOne » Mon Jan 13, 2020 12:16 pm

Hello Everyone,
I have a Waltham diver, 34mm, but am unable to source a bezel and insert for it. Any places I should look other than the Bay or Etsy? Pic attached.Image

Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to locate bezels for vintage divers. I've tried. Ebay and forums such as The Military Watch Resource (MWR) are going to be your best bet. Keep looking and you may get lucky. You can also try posting a WTB ad - you never know. Great looking dial on that one. Good luck.

Thanks! I was thinking of looking at having one made for the time being or just wearing as a dress watch like I do now.

I have had some success on ebay but this was luck and not the perfect original one, just a nice match

I should add it was a different watch altogether... maybe one day you can find a parts watch if you want a perfect match

Set up search notifications on eBay. You may get lucky.

Not to resurrect a zombie, but I found one online eventually. It's pretty cool becuase this was a family piece so it'll be able to be passed on...Image

Nicely done it's rare to get lucky to find a replacement bezel when it's missing. A friend ask me to help him find a replacement bezel ring for his vintage Doxa 300T I tried and said best to sell it for parts. So sold it for 400 bucks but vintage was not big then. Now 1000 or more for a parts Doxa 300T.
