Hey All,
I picked up this vintage Scubapro 200m diver a while back to go along with some of my other old scuba branded watches. I don't have any really useful info on this particular scubapro model other than it is an M.R.P.S.A case and it has a quartz movement used by a lot of the older quartz Heuer divers. I love my Scubapro 500 but i'm always surprised how much I enjoy the smaller 200m. I remember getting it and being impressed that it was larger than I anticipated and very thin at right around 10mm thick. The dial combination of gold and black along with the PVD case is a great combination that I don't have with any other of my watches. I also love the bracelet, it looked really bizzare in the photos when I bought it, but its just a super long bracelet that you loop through one end and has a little latch that fits into the bracelet. I love that the date wheel has the gold dates on a black date wheel. A small detail, but they all make for a cool watch. enough of my blabbering, onto the watch! If anyone does have any info about this particular model, i'd love to hear it. I ran across a thread where a guy said he bought one new in 1984 (i think) but his was a silver version, not the black and gold.
As a bonus I added a photo of another obscure Scuba branded diver. It's an old quartz 200m Pro-dive branded watch that I bought missing the bezel insert but running great for $50, my twin brother who also collects some old divers helped me do some recon and internet sleuthing and we turned up this old Croton branded diver that turned out to have the same case, same hands, same sized bezel insert and it was on a bracelet. So i bought the Croton as a donor and now my old obscure "Pro-dive" has a nice bezel insert as well as a bracelet and some donor parts if the need ever arises. It was a fun journey piecing it together and makes for a pretty fun addition some of my obscure divers.
