Amazing find, assuming it is legit
Benrus Mil-W-50717. Reserve might be high, but I've never seen one in this shape.

It's the real deal you can see the dimple on the crown and one with a Vietnam era date that's what most collectors want so most sellers think they can ask more than they mite be worth just because of the issue date. It's worth about 2000-2500 the type II are worth a little less 1000-1500 the one with the different dial. The type I all ways go for a little more money.

dumb question.....would someone really pay 3k for that?? whats so special?? I don't know the brand really so maybe thats why I'm naive about it.

Well the type I is said to be issued to special forces take a look what the British Special forces got the Rolex sub and what are they selling for 100,000.00 so the type I you can say they sell for cheap I got the Type II I did get it a lot cheaper than this type I.

Legend has it, these were given to the best of the best in Vietnam and a few years after. CIA, SOG, SF, SEALs, etc. So people go bananas for them.

Final bid was $4110, and didn't top the reserve. Looks like it was relisted.
