Rolex 5513 question

Post by Drop of a Hat » Mon Apr 07, 2014 12:46 pm

There's this Rolex up on WUS and Chrono24 and it looks good. Really good. Tritium is still bone white, everything looks brand new.

Is that possible? Or are all the parts replaced? They say it's all original, but just seems fishy.

It's not a '66 or at least the dial isn't.

A 1966 Sub with a glossy dial? If someone buys this, as the saying goes, a fool and his money are quickly parted.

Ethan, if the 43 mm case didn't cause you alarm, the white gold surrounds should. Fuck that guy, he might be Robert Maron.

PS: The case back is stamped 4th quarter of 67' & the bracelet appears to belong to a 1675.

PPS: I reported him on WUS and Chrono 24...that pisses me off!

Wow case dial, hands ,bezel insert and bracelet are replacements ;)(cough) from the 90s case is way over polished ( note crown guards particularly.... That is a turd. The seller is a crook. Might have significant number of fake parts. It's a Franken Rolex most likely.

I haven't had an infraction in a few years, so I tried to bump his thread with a response...the system won't let me.

Ethan, buy with confidence from a place like HQ Milton and save some cheese.
