Sandoz Typhoon 1000m...

Post by gr8sw » Sat Sep 21, 2013 12:19 pm

I know a few of these have surfaced around here over the years, so I'll add a little Typhoon love too... a recent pick-up from a cool well-known collector in Bangkok

a lot going for this sexy vintage beast... dig the sandpaper-like textured dial, red sweep and cool patina, not to mention 'the bubble' :salute:

Those are some great pics. Thanks, I love that design.

Check out the profile on this Armida A1, I see some very similar design cues.

Peter, when you sell that thing, hit me up. It's a crappy watch that looks terrible and you do not want to keep it.

That screw is a classic of vintage dive watch lore. You can bet you have the real deal Sandoz Typhoon if it has that mysterious screw.

Sweet typhoon.

I believe they made them recently, pretty true to the original design, unless I'm mistaken (happens a lot)

The serious bezel and high dome are too cool
