congrats, Brian! awesome looking example and kicks butt on that canvas
so was it Nivada Grenchen who was making these? certainly weren't made by Scubapro...

Forgive my ignorance... Scubapro was a brand, and Seiko picked up the name and used it as a 6309 model?

Scubapro was (and still is I believe) a diving equipment manufacturer. Their name appeared on the dial of several different brands over the years, and the watches were sold through catalogs as well as retailers. The iconic Scubapro 500 was manufactured from the late 1970s to mid '80s, if I'm not mistaken.
Scubapro branded Auquastar 63 c. 1960s.
Scubapro 500 c. 1980.
