I remember buying my first 1680 in 1992. I was just happy to have a submariner. At the time, it was some 2/3rds the cost of a more modern, albeit used, submariner. The dealer tried to up sale me with a ratcheting bezel and sapphire crystal. Luckily, I only had $1,400 to my name.

Yup, in fact, Jeff saw it in person yesterday. He really liked it.
Heuer made 500 of these for Beechcraft, who sold them to customers as a promotion. Unfortunately I don't have paperwork for mine, but I was told it came from the artist who made airplane models for Beechcraft as part of their design process.

Holy moly that's cool. Is that the original strap? If not what is it and where can I get one?!

Sometime I think about a Sigma 6263, not they're so expensive these days.

Thanks, Peter!
At the end of the day, I do like these on their original bracelets!
