Just got my dad's Zodiac back from Andy out at UltraVintage. He pulled off nothing short of a miracle in restoring my dad's old Zodiac to life. After his Army tour and another 30+ years working in a lumber mill, it was pretty beat up. Here are some before and after photos. My dad was as happy as he could be, and so am I. The old Zodiac is alive once again.

Anytime you're restoring a piece that has a real history in your family it's worth it. This turned out great

Looks great and with some great family history with it. Use to have one of those in the collection. Cool how the back cover is pressed on not a screw back case if I remember right. My bezel ring did not look that great like yours after I had mine serviced.

Terrific. Is that a new bezel or did they somehow refinish the old one?

The bezel was refinished. It is not a replacement. I haven't seen any other place that can do it, but he rebuilds the bezel and re-paints. That was a weakness of the older Zodiacs. I don't know how he does it. But that was a reason he was recommended to me and a reason I went with him doing the restoration.

That's pretty cool. I've passed on some vintage stuff for fear of finding a new bezel. Its nice to have this as an option.

he also seems to have parts that few other watchmakers have access to. he redid my seawolf as well.
