Vintage Bucherer chronometer movement

Post by hobbit712 » Thu Sep 04, 2014 6:31 am

I have had this watch for a while. I picked it up off Ebay a number of years ago. Somehow I think it got magnetized recently as it's running very fast.

I got curious recently as to what movement might be inside. Bucherer has a number of relationships with different watch companies over the years. They are a large jeweler in Switzerland.

Last night I removed the back and took a few pics of the movement. I am not an expert by any means. Does anyone know what movement this might be? Does not appear to anything extremely fancy but is supposed to be a chronometer. Rotor say adjusted to five positions and temp.

I am going to send it off for a COA soon as well. Any help is appreciated.

A couple of extra pics as well.

Eric...kinda sorta.

As I understand it. Bucherer is a well established jeweler in Switzerland. Been in business for a long while. They have been a Rolex dealer as well as other watches I think. The started their own watch manufacturing a number of years back. That is the Carl F Bucherer watches.

There have been rumors of Bucherer having had private label watches done that included Rolex movements. I don't think this so with mine though.

I guess if I did a little of my own research i could have received the answer. I think this is a ETA 2630 movement. It looks liked that is what is stamped inside. Also it looks like the little ETA symbol in there.
