Incoming - something a bit different

Post by andy tims » Sat Dec 22, 2012 5:40 am

Just collected this late 20's /early 30'sGerman wall clock from the local clock repair centre.

It's been up in the loft for nearly 15 years and was given to me almost 30 years ago by my Great Grandmother. I think she & my Great Grandfather had it from new as a wedding present, so whilst it's not going to win any beauty contests, I'm glad to have it working again.

Very cool! Over the years traveling around the planet, I've seen some amazing clocks... Always been fascinated by them. My grandfather had a beautiful wall clock in his study and I wanted it when he died, but my psycho aunt got it. I'm sure she promptly sold it. Grrrrrr

Congrats - that's a keeper

That's a nice piece of horology, Andy. Family heirlooms are very special things to treasure.

Nice clock Andy  I have a few in my collection most are military clocks. But the last one I added was this Seth Thomas NO2 from the 1920's as you see it's not military.

Andy looks like it chims on the hour how many days does it run ?
