Hi there,
I was just wondering about my Seiko 6105-8110 - I have seen many such watches and the seem to have the some sort of inner ring than reflects the minute markers of the actual dial causing a sort of reflection that creates almost a middle row of minute markers - mine does not seem to have this and I was wondering why - any ideas? This watch has been authenticated before I bought it as original.
Thanks for any help.
John

This one just has a different crystal version. I think the TYPE 2 crystal has the frosted edge that cause the illusion of the markers you are referring to.

It looks like it might have been relumed at some point, unless the red lume on the seconds hand has completely washed out.

Replaced crystal. Probably generic. Doesn’t look like a type ii or iii.

Re: Seiko - 6105-8110
Hi there - Thank you so much for the information I really appreciate it, I am sorry for my ignorance but I do not really know too much about this model as I am still learning - does the type i, I, iii refer to the different crystal types and if so does this relate to to age / year of manufacture? The red dot on the seconds hand has completely washed out and it came to me a date not working but it seems to be working fine.

You can learn the manufacturing date by decoding the serial number. There are numerous sites with the information, such as http://www.watchsleuth.com/seikodatefin ... ial=250045
