Kids growing up

Post by poppydog » Tue Jun 23, 2020 1:46 pm

My son is 21 tomorrow, and sorting through pictures with which to embarrass him I found a couple I thought I'd share here, a kind of 'then and now'

Then . . . now

Hahaha from cowboy pirate to surf legend. That’s a pretty cool “transformation”. Congrats, dad!

I know it's cliche, but damn this happens way too fast.
Congratulations!

Thanks guys, appreciate your kind words. I think the "cowboy pirate" pic is my favourite of all the shots we have of him, and really seems to sum up his character. The surfing shot is significant for me, because he was quite clumsy and uncoordinated as a kid, he's dyslexic and we thought perhaps dyspraxic too, so to be able to surf now, compared to what he was like when little is quite a transformation. He's just completed his degree in sports science and is coming home soon, but his grad' ceremony has been cancelled because of C19.
