Re: Badass shoe/boot link thread
I have these Samuel Hubbard boots coming tomorrow.
Got them on eBay as a store sample for a crazy price. Apparently it’s from the company itself that sells store samples and seconds on eBay.
$70 for $310 boots.
I’ll update after I get them, but needed a good pair of black boots,

I have been wearing my Rossi boots for almost 5 years now. Might be time for a new pair.

I am afraid of the hot spots, they can be brutal. I had my Rossi boots for 5 years now and they are still not wore out. So I might end up getting the same boots again or just put new insoles in these.dukerules wrote: ↑Sat Dec 07, 2019 5:04 amOverall, they are great. I wear them 3-4 days a week. Have worn them for light hiking, and they are up to the task. My only issue is that the synthetic materials get a little stinky at the end of the day. Not like a foot odor smell, almost a chemical-type smell.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 12:09 pmLong term update on the Lems?dukerules wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2019 3:22 pmUpdate on the Lems Trailheads. Got mine in a couple of weeks ago, and have worn them approximately 10 times since then. A couple of hot spots the first two times I wore them, but since then they have been extremely comfortable. They wear close to a no-drop shoe for me, which means comfortably. Nice rugged sole for what is pretty much a sneaker, so I think they'll be good as a lightweight rec hiker and do-anything travel shoe. I spend most of my time at work on my feet doing procedures, and they provide good support for that. One thing is that they are not water resistant, but a little waterproofing spray makes them a good to go in the rain (not sure how well they'll deal with mud and creeks though).

Ok did not know they had themed colours or does it reference a song of theirs?

Update on these Danners. Wore them everyday in Iceland for a week and encountered everything... 40 degrees with torrential rains, blizzards with single digit temps and 50 mph winds, etc. Hiked to glaciers with crampons, through creeks to waterfalls, etc... and my feet were always warm and dry paired with smart wool socks. Super comfortable also, like high ankle athletic shoes. Completely waterproof until the top 2” or so. Recommend them if anyone needs a pair of good all weather hikers. Probably better options for hot/dry weather though.

Re: Badass shoe/boot link thread
Last pair of boots I posted in this thread didn’t work out as one was a 10 and other was a 10.5. Seller refunded promptly though and paid for return shipping.
Finally found these and so glad the others were wrong sizes.
Frye John Addison lace up. Not that it matters much to me, but these are a rare made in America pair (or at least they state as much). Awesome leather, leather stacked heel and sole with Goodyear welt and Vibram sole.
I hate leather laces so ordered a pair of flat canvas laces from Frye for $10. Got these for $160-not bad for boots originally over $400 and even on clearance were $298.
And yes, I’m wearing them with sweatpants as they just arrived and I’m being lazy today and haven’t showered yet.

Re: Badass shoe/boot link thread
The wife and I started some hiking so I picked up these Danner Camp Shermans. Very comfortable.

Really like those. Earmarked for the future.
It’s been a long time since I owned a suede shoe. Too bad they don’t offer blue!

Super comfy, Allen Edmonds Knightsbridge Chelsea boot...

I think they have some other partially blue models.

You can pay the kid at Dick's Sportswear to steam and break-in your baseball glove. I wish you could buy boots already broken in like yours (without buying used).

If your shoe fits, and it's not unusual to not know your proper size, AE will feel fine brand spanking new.
