Crappy feeling when you are looking forward to getting new boots/shoes and they don't fit
or there is a problem..

Good looking boots--return for new pair...
Too expensive to settle...

I agree. Don't settle. Returns are easy. Right from your order you requests return label. Print from the e-mail they send and drop off at a UPS store / site or give them to a UPS driver if you are on a regular pick up route.

How come you boys don't buy your Red Wings at a Red Wing store? Their stores and their sizing ability are both awesome.

check 'em out.

Tom, not many stores carry the Heritage line due to the high $$$ value of the stock required..... stores are great though, I wished they all carried Beckman's, Chukkas, and other in the Heritage line..

Tom I did just that and bought mine there a few days later. And he's got Beckman's in stock. He even knocked about 10% or so off the price. Small store but great selection.

My local stores-and I live near Red Wing-have squat for sizing and the selection at all but 1 store blows chimpanzee. The prices are good and I've ordered most of mine through them but I figured out sizing etc on my own.

I ordered my newest pair direct from the main store which is right near the factory. It was faster than going to the store near me which wouldn't have had the model I wanted anyway plus I saved sales tax.

Very interesting to hear of the differences in the stores. My local store is small but with good selection and excellent service. And, I believe they will size you and put on order any of their boots.

Well, good luck out there with your Red Wings. If ever disappointed by a pair received through on line or catalog ordering, don't accept any boots you are not happy with. I find that generally, if boots don't fit at first, they almost will never fit... no matter what any salesman tells you.
