Allen Edmonds is having a sale on their second quality shoes and boots.

$50 off the first pair and $100 off the second pair. I have done well any time I have bought their seconds. They do free shipping both ways so you can't get hurt if you get something with a defect you can't live with.

They e-mailed me what they have in my size and there are a lot of deals a total of 113 model / color combinations. Two boots I have been looking at are priced at $99 (amok) and $199 (fifth street)

Take off the discount and they should be $148. Now that is a rare pricing combo as the $99 amok Chelsea are on close out but even if both pairs were $199 it would still only be $248 for two pairs that would usually retail for approximately $300 each.

You need to know what size you wear in their shoes and which lasts work for you.

he was warning me to get measured before i buy a nice pair of boots.
my wife bought me Redwing Beckmans for christmas and i had to send them back. she got me an 11 and the were way too big.

Their boots-Dalton and Long Branch fit true to size for me. The Dalton's were narrower though. They have a sizing deal on their website:

Wow I have not seen that big of a difference. It is on their #5 last which is shared by the Park Avenue and is described as their longest last. I only size down one from my running shoes and wear the same size as my Iron Rangers on most AE shoes, though I usually need a EEE width.
