Thanks for the tip on these guys, these are great boots! I went half-size down (from 12D to 11.5D) and they were stiff in the store, but already started to feel good by the time I arrived home.

It gets worse when you realize there are colors produced only for stores like Brooks Brothers and J. Crew. Don't forget the Europe and Asian only releases.

Obsession is such a ... strong word. Need? Craving? Itch? Wardrobe necessity?

Good luck, Hoppy. My Aldens should be in Monday and that will leave me withe three pair in the last month, so I am shutting it down until the spring, when I get a pair of Red Wing Engineers for the bike-season.

The worst thing about the boot obsession is that there is absolutely no way to hide them. I hide watches and straps all the time and my wife rarely notices when they finally make an appearance. The boots she notices immediately though.
