I really can't remember if I posted some of this before. Anyway, managed to make some more progress on this today. Rather pleased with how it's looking.
Basic shape is a piece of airframe 'borrowed' by my dad and the vintage aviation museum he volunteers at.
The box will be used exclusively for my Bell & Ross collection and will be aviation inspired. I have dubbed it The Flight Box.
Exterior is clad in sheet plastic with extruded mils steel for edging. Inside is fitted with 4 slot watch holder and illuminated by LED.
Its currently mocked up to work out next steps. I have done some test cuts to work out angles and next step is to pop rivet the whole lot together before being sprayed matt aluminium.
The lid is will be fluorescent green, not figured out yet if it will hinge or slot in on runners.
