It'll be a bit of a PITA, but likely just an on-line form and 7 Euro every 3 years.
To be honest, I don't really see the benefit to this as security is handled by border patrol and "bad guys" will bypass those monitored pathways anyway. Its just another tax.

Thanks for the information. I'm traveling to Spain next month so no issue right now, but good to know as I've been seeing great prices on airfare to Europe. I've always had a lot of fun in France and want to go back.
