That camo has grown on me, but losing my job shot a hole in that. I love that one. That’s definitely my favorite of the two.FireMonk3y wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 7:53 pmI was looking at the titanium camo version and ran across a killer deal. Had just sold a few vintage Seiko’s so had some funds in the PP account. Ended up picking it up and hopefully will have it this week. Got it about 25% off so should be an easy flip if I decide I don’t like it. I’ll post pictures here when in comes in.
Anyone buying the titanium square?

Ugh I am kinda tempted by the ti square again. I am hoping they get discounted since they don't seem to be limited.

I would buy the camo at like $600, but at $1600, that’s just never happening.

I did, yeah – Rob (Topper) has always been my go-to guy for this sorta thing.tattoo chef wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2019 12:41 pmDid you get a deal at all?dinexus wrote:Copped because I love titanium and I love camo, and I'm a whore apparently.
I unboxed it just enough to set the time and am really happy with it. It looks and feels awesome, and though SS might have the wrist presence most guys prefer, my whole collection is more or less built around titanium watches. Was planning on it being my Christmas present, but dunno if I can wait that long.

Re: Anyone buying the titanium square?
I was contemplating reaching out to a few contacts and seeing what kind of deal I could get on the camo, till I paid attention and saw it has the reverse digital display. Makes it easy for me to pass and not worry about spending over a grand for a digital G. I hate the reverse displays.

Man the reverse is so much better than the old Casios. I prefer it to the regular display side by side in the squares. It’s very clear.tattoo chef wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2019 7:35 amI was contemplating reaching out to a few contacts and seeing what kind of deal I could get on the camo, till I paid attention and saw it has the reverse digital display. The STN negative display is very clear

I’ve had them, don’t care for them. I prefer the dark on light.r.palace wrote:The STN negative display is very clear

That camo Ti square is so hot. And I strongly prefer a negative display on G Shocks.
Re: Anyone buying the titanium square?
Probably sounds weird but while the positive display is more visible and I am wearing one now, the negative feels a bit more polished in this new variation while the positive feels a bit dorky. Love both though for very different reasons.

Re: Anyone buying the titanium square?
Second day with the camo. This is my first titanium in about 5 years (and first
G-Shock), can’t get over how light it is. Really like it so far. I was shocked when looking through the instructions and it said not to shower, bathe or dive with it. Guess I’ll be breaking most of these, we’ll see what happens.

Re: Anyone buying the titanium square?
Damn you guys, I came into this thinking the standard titanium was cool, price nuts, and that the dot matrix camo was weird. Now while I still like the standard titanium, I’m completely loving the camo. If I was back working yet I’d be working on picking one up.
Re: Anyone buying the titanium square?
Wtf?? That’s not a g shock then. Can’t believe they released it saying not to take it in water. So dumb.FireMonk3y wrote:Second day with the camo. This is my first titanium in about 5 years (and first

Re: Anyone buying the titanium square?
I loved the steel version I had- but it was just too heavy on bracelet. I think titanium would be perfect and that Ti camo looks incredible.
Now the thing that’s holding me back is the insane price. (And now reading above that you can’t take it in water... wtf).

Re: Anyone buying the titanium square?
I don't understand why you couldn't take a Ti G Shock into water. That's insane. My current G shock gets sweat upon, washed off in the shower, and repeat multiple times a week.

Re: Anyone buying the titanium square?
So I’ve done some research. Seems like they reserve their “Diver” rating for the Frogman and possibly Mudman line. This still has 200m of water resistance and I plan on diving with it, it’s just not ISO certified. As far as the shower, hot tub and bathing part, I think their just tying to cover their asses.BBK357 wrote:I loved the steel version I had- but it was just too heavy on bracelet. It says not to dive with it? I’ll have to look at the books for my steel models. I never opened them.
Re: Anyone buying the titanium square?
Fuck it, I’m diving with mine.

Iirc their 'dive' rating means that you can push the buttons at depth.

I spent some time at Topper yesterday, and apparently (it was news to me), there is a $7600 G-Shock...Seppia wrote:Any human is going to die of oxygen toxicity before this watch fails.
Looks fantastic, but I’m not paying GS money for a G-shock sorry
