1990's Casio value

Post by River Rat » Tue Dec 27, 2011 3:27 pm

I found a old Casio I bought in the 1990's Casio model 385 AMW-320 was a all Japan made one with the pusher in a different spot and crown is larger and are different than the same model made in china today. And has a none screw down crown rated at 100mm also on the older ones the bezel ring goes ether direction the ones they make today goes one direction.Whats the value of a vintage one made in Japan looked on fleabay all I saw was new ones made in china.Thinking of putting a battery in and getting a strap for it the old strap was so old it just crumbled and putting it up for sale.

I am guessing it mite be worth some thing to a collector of Casio since this version don't come up for sale all I saw was the version now made in China I saw on fleabay I was surprised Casio is still making this model but in china and the pushers and crown are different and the bezel ring moves in both directions and from a thread on WUS it said the Japanese one was better made.Still got the sticker on the back cover.

I notice the ones made now in China are not worth much.Thought this mite be worth a little more since it's was made in Japan with a different movement and the pushers are different making it a rarer model.Let me now if it not worth any thing won't waist putting a battery in to see if it works one of those watches in the 1990's when the battery went dead you throw it in a draw and forget about it.

Time to resurrect this thread!!! I have a 1989 AMW-320 - and, I love it!!! It's withstood the test of time and is pretty badass on the wrist with an Erica's!
