I just got an email for a new Frogman that I really liked and wanted to buy. I had no idea they were this expensive. Talk about sticker shock.

frogman limited releases are pricey, and then just go up on the secondary market once they're sold out.

primarily b/c almost all of them are in short supply and high demand as they are "collected" around the world
i'll defer to deepseadiver as our resident expert, but based on what I read they are the only g-shocks that:
- are iso certified (for diving)
- use sapphire crystal
- have stainless or titanium cases (under resin)
- use carbon fiber reinforced straps
- can save dive log storage on watch itself
- have push buttons designed to function at depth
- are actually produced in Japan
does this make it worth $1k+? depends, but probably not to me. do i like the aesthetic of the antarctica rover model way more than any other g-shock model, frogman or not? absolutely : )
