Skinny Fat Spring Bars Needed
Skinny Fat Spring Bars Needed
Hey guys, I'm looking for 20mm x 1.8mm with 1.1mm tips. In the past I would have gone to Terry at ToxicNatos but we know he closed the doors a while ago.
I looked at Ofrei but they require a minimum order + tax + shipping and I'm over $20 just for a couple of spring bars. I also looked at Esslinger but they don't have what I need. Twenty-O is no longer on ebay.
Any suggestions on a source would be a great help.
Thanks.

If it is for a nice watch, I would bite the bullet and buy the good Swiss ones from Esslinger or Ofrei. Marathon also has an online shop on Amazon with good swiss bars, but probably spend just as much. Some of the good strap retailers like Everest typically stock them.
Strapcode sells cheap ones, no idea the quality but they are a volume seller so would assume they are decent.

Thanks, I'll check them out.
Re: Skinny Fat Spring Bars Needed
Are these the old “slim fats” he sold? If so I have way more than I could ever use.

I wondered why those dried up. That’s where all mine were from. Still have plenty.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 4:29 pmi might have something that will work. Twenty-O passed away I believe.

I choose to believe the stainless is smelted and forged in a small Swiss village and then sent direct to my door, with a pit stop at the Hong Kong post for repackaging.toxicavenger wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 4:30 pmhahaha. they are ALL from a small town in Swizterland. lol

Guys ---- Thanks for all the responses!
I'm fitting some different straps on a custom 6105 homage and I need 20mm skinny fat spring bars (1.8mm diameter with fat tips). I ordered some 20mm 1.8mm bars with 1.1 tips from a couple different sellers on ebay, some are swiss, some aren't. We'll see if they fit properly.
What size are the tips on stock seiko bars?
If the bars I ordered don't work out I might hit you guys up for a couple.

Interested this thread as well.
I'm wondering about another unicorn spring bar: 1.1mm tips, shoulderless, "skinny" barrel....for thicc straps on a seiko (Isofrane, velcro, etc)

This thread reinforces that it's never a bad thing to order extra spare parts. Especially when there are very few vendors. It's a lifeboat for when those businesses have to take a pause (or unfortunately sometimes close). And the slightly larger orders might help a small businesses offset their costs a little better.

stock seiko divers are 22mm x 2.5mm x 1.1 tips. if you have drilled lugs the best fitting springbars have a 1.2mm tip with no flanges.

Re: Skinny Fat Spring Bars Needed
Thanks Terry. No drilled lugs on this one so I'll stick with the 20mm 1.8mm with 1.1mm tips.
