Seiko 5 Sports Stainless for 6159-7001

Is anyone familiar with the band shown in the attached photo?

This band came from the factory on this 6159-7001. The watch and band were a gift from Seiko to my father (a marine biologist doing some deep water diving, as they had given him a similar but perhaps prior model watch the year before but that watch leaked at depth). The band is marked "Seiko 5 Sports."

I have never seen a band like this, but I have loved it since first seeing it in on my father's wrist in the 1960's.

My reason for inquiring is that the band is still in good shape but is a bit loose, and I don't want to replace it with anything different. Are identical bands available in the used market?

can't you get the links tightened up on it? a jewerly repair shop could probably do it.
