endraving silione apple straps on the laser.

Post by gwells » Sun Jul 19, 2020 9:07 pm

i am on Ambien and everything is fuzzy and a little three D right now, so excuse my typos.. but want to show you this watch that i engrave for my wife's apple watch. a 3rd party strap. line i up on some cardboard in a jig, get everything set up on th cardboard 38 minutes to engrave. 5ish to clean up. if someone wants a second color in oil pen inside the engraving, that can be done for a little more $$ and time . COlored in with oil pens and it cleans off tne non engraved part with alcohol;.

FInally trying to make engraved apple straps. your apple friends may want some of these. this is unpainted, but the engraved area can be painted in we welll. this was my wife's test watch.

if we can find silicone straps for regular watches, I can do some engraving on them. again, ignore my terrible ambian infused writing. if someone has a strap they want to try out, i'm willing. know that there's some risk the first time i do a specific strap, and it doesn't hurt to have an extra, just in case. can also do some on lether as well. would prefer to keep it to inexpensive stuff for right now as i figure things out. has to be silicone, can't do all kinds of rubber.

lemme know.

That’s really cool. My gut says no issue with thinning for normal use.

Fuzzy and 3D? Sounds kind of like the younger days. Except it was usually paired with staying up all night. Hope you are well.

Cool straps, and thanks for the laugh. That post is gold.

I’ve had the best conversations with the wife that I don’t remember after taking Ambien.

Very cool strap idea!!
