Liger strap for my Speedy Pro

Post by ChuckW » Tue Oct 29, 2024 12:18 pm

After consulting with Andy (snootydog), who had gotten a Liger canvas strap earlier this year for his Speedmaster, I ordered one like his for mine, except I went with the unpadded option. Didn't include a buckle on the order since I already have an Omega deployment clasp. The order arrived with some unexpected extras: another strap identical to the one I ordered, but with padding (labeled as a free bonus, so it wasn't an error) and a deployment clasp that couldn't possibly be authentic Omega (their website has them for $35), but hey, it was no charge.

The curved ends are quite stiff and not nearly as easy to fit on the watch as the curved end rubber Zealande straps that I got for my Omega driver watches, but I think canvas suits the Speedy Pro better than rubber would.

Looks great. I’ve always preferred Speedmasters on straps.

I wasn't implying that anyone who orders gets freebies. I don't know why they sent them to me, only that they knew what they were doing. The only thing I can figure is that they mistakenly made a strap for me with padding and just sent both.

What I like about Liger is that they are incredibly helpful and you can chat with them via Whatsapp. I want their Racing brown strap for my BB58 but in blue. They offered to make it for me from either their Diablo navy blue strap or their Saffiano navy blue strap and any colour stitching I want. I'll show you the result in about 5 weeks time.

They seem to do most of their stuff to order, including lengths that range from elfish to Incredible Hulk.
