Cheapestnatostraps VS Toxicnatos

Post by alexkemaris » Tue Feb 02, 2016 6:33 pm

Hi DWC,

I just received my package from Cheapestnatostraps today all the way from Sweden.

On first look it seems like any ordinary NATO strap, but after wearing it and on closer inspection, there are some key differences to look out for:

Image
(Looks kinda similar from far except for the nicer buckle and brushed finish on Toxicnatos)

Image
(You can see the Cheapestnatostraps use standard hardware which is rounded and has no edges. Toxicnatos win on this one. The sharper edges and brushed hardware is a winner with tool watches)

Image
(Glued vs Stitched. Toxicnatos win again.)

Image
(The additional stitching on Toxicnatos ensure the middle piece of hardware is stiff and does not swing loosely)

Pricing wise, almost the same if you don't purchase over 5 straps from Cheapestnatostraps and get their 20% discount. But quality wise: Toxicnatos is the clear winner.

I guess I better put a disclaimer to say that the above is based solely on my own opinions and that I am not professionally qualified to be cited on the quality of NATO straps. =D

Nice review brother. I have some from the same site and they aren't bad for the price.

Thanks again for your business.

NO COMPARISON!

ToxicNATO blows the CNS out the water, toilet, and anywhere else you can think of.

I'd add that the feel on the wrist is one key difference that doesn't come across from the pictures. The TN supports the watch better, despite being of similar thickness. I think that's due to the difference in the weave.

Right, my cheap-o-nato-straps nylon feels weak ( I think that is the right word). They don't feel as secure. And they take no abuse at all. But that is what it says "cheap" in the name.

Yeah it's tighter weave. Not sure what the technical term is for nylon webbing but it's probably something like sheets - TN Straps have a higher thread count :) Luxury!

Curious, I am sure it has been posted on here but as I am human I am lazy.
What length are your straps? I like to fold over the tail on NATO's and find that not all straps out there allow me to do that on my 7.25" girthy manly wrist.
Gracias muchachos.

280mm, that is enough for your size wrist.

Yes I did realize that Toxicnatos are much stiffer compared to cns due to tighter weave!
Thanks for adding that in! =D
My cns makes my watch head tilt over the side of my wrist even though it's fasten pretty tight but the Toxicnato doesn't.
