Maybe a 48mm Rad wears about the same as a 47mm Luminor

Not sure why they'd go bigger than 47mm, however. That seems to be about the max that anyone can reasonably pull off. .

I hope it is too big for most....then maybe I could pick it up for a decent price.

Panerai do the best ceramic watches IMO.

All great minds think alike.

Strap it over a flight jacket while piloting your weekend biplane.

44mm would be perfect. I wonder if the movement bridges and plates are tinted, or they just tinted the sapphire back? I'm honking the latter

Some early ceramic models had PVD'd bridges, but all recent models have a tinted crystal.

I typically wear smaller sized watches and look at vintage watches online nowadays, but for some reason the idea of getting a large PAM back in the collection always pops into my head. I don't think I'll be getting anything like a 47mm 372 again any time soon (even though I love(d) that watch). But I keep finding myself looking at these ceramic PAMs. The 577 looks really sweet but the like most people have said here, the size if off-putting. My current dream of an "unreasonable splurge in the budget watch" right now would be a PAM 317. 44mm is a size I think I can still pull off.

I was in Italy last year and a 60'ish guy walked by me pushing a stroller with a HYPER hot woman about half his age at his side. Both were very stylishly dressed (unlike me) and he was wearing a giant PAM on what looked like an ancient leather strap loosely on his wrist. The watch fit the scene perfectly. It was the first time I understood the 'watch as art' feeling.
Most of us are too active for that and aren't comfortable with such a large watch. I know I am. I get it, though... Pretty cool if you can play it.

Dumb size. Do it in a 44mm and you sell a ton of them...and you could probably charge more for them.
