I know I know, wussy thread but here goes. I can locally get a Pam 243 (T-dial, complete set, from 2007) but have to trade in my Pam 024 and add $1,300. Would you advice for or against this ...?
Thanks in advance for any help...
Here a pic of the 243 in question:

That sounds a tad much no? 243s were soft selling when I sold mine a year or so back I think. Not sure that's a great deal for you. Who knows maybe the markets improved for 243?

243: Recon has the last 5 at an average of $5,120
024: Recon has the last 4 at an average of $4,560
Difference = $560
usual caveats: Series, Condition, Actual Sell Price

Thx Eric & Mike. I was thinking the tritium dials were more difficult to find and therefor a bit higher in value. It wouldn't even consider an L dial for that price.
But.... I was just informed the 243 has been sold, so I am happily keeping the 24!
Thanks again for the input!

Besides the $ differential make sure you have the wrist for it, they wear very different. 243 is heavy, too heavy for me with a bubble back so it wobbles more and doesn't sit flat. Loved the watch and hated wearing it.Marjak wrote:Thx Eric & Mike. I was thinking the tritium dials were more difficult to find and therefor a bit higher in value. I'd take a 24/25 on the wrist any day

Thanks for the advice Brice. I was a little worried about that indeed. I have an 8" wrist but it's not very flat. I used to have a 312, which is also a 1950's case and it didn't sit all that well, especially compared to the 24, which sits perfectly fine. I guess I should be happy the decision was already made for me when the 243 got sold...Jeep99dad wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2017 6:19 pmBesides the $ differential make sure you have the wrist for it, they wear very different. 243 is heavy,'too heavy with a bubble back so it wobbles more and doesn't air flat.
