Translation:

With automatic movement Panerai P.9000, the box Panerai Luminor 1950 in Composite ® and the strict observance of the functional and aesthetic codes that make each one unique watch Panerai, the Luminor Marina Automatic Composite 1950 3 Days - 44 mm, to be officially presented sihh in 2011, is a classic example of the Panerai tradition of innovation and quality.

The box Luminor 1950 and the bridge protecting the crown are made of composite Panerai ®, a synthetic ceramic used in high watchmaking first by Officine Panerai, created by an electrochemical process involving the transformation of aluminum. The Composite Panerai ® is much lighter than ceramic, but at the same time is much harder and stronger than steel and, moreover, is dull and looks very different.

The big brown dial, unadorned, has sandwich construction consisting of two superimposed layers containing the Super-LumiNova ® forming the numerals and hour markers fluorescent. He has the classic Panerai style, reflected by its thickness and high readability even in the dark. The display is protected by a sapphire crystal with smoked anti-reflective treatment.

The automatic movement P.9000, which can be seen through the sapphire crystal back, is 13 ¾ lines in diameter and 7.9 mm thick, and was entirely designed and built in the manufacture Officine Panerai in Neuchâtel. This gauge has a date function, small seconds at 9 o'clock and a power reserve of three days, guaranteed for two mainspring barrels connected in series with an oscillating weight that loads the springs in both directions.

The Luminor Marina Automatic Composite 1950 3 Days - 44 mm is water resistant to 30 atm (300 meters) and comes with an aged brown leather strap with a clasp of the same color composite. Identified by the reference PAM00386, it is part of the Contemporary collection.

Definitely... the Luminor edition of the 339. However, the 339 is a LE of 1500 pieces and I really did Marina Militare and 8 Giorni dial on the 339.

Looks very very cool. The price is guaranteed to make it a non-starter for me though.

I like that Panerai is throwing the p9000 movement in new cases. I do wish this movement wasn't quite so beastly--all the p9000 pieces are quite thick. I like my 312, but if I had the money I'd have a 233 in a heartbeat. Thinner case, and that sweet domed crystal.

I wish all PAMs had a domed crystal. It adds a lot to the watch.

Agreed. Unfortunately PAM doesn't give domes away-if you want one, you have to pay to play.

Amazing work of art, great score Luke! You must have a tough time picking out a Panerai in the morning, which must be a nice problem to have!

The 360 is a pencil gray DLC finish. This has the fancy brown composite case similar to the 339 and with a brown dial.

This is supposedly going to be introduced at SIHH 2011. Wish it was on my wrist! Perhaps one day.

I love it. I have the 339 app on my home page for my ipod and look at it every day. I would "settle" for the 386.

I wish I could afford either.
