I hate messing with Omega's pin/collar system

Post by ikkoku » Mon Mar 07, 2011 6:44 pm

I know it works well and keeps the bracelet links together better than a lot of others but it's such a bitch to size the bracelet for an impatient person like myself. Freaking just bent a pin. Now I have to find a replacement. :angryfire:

I usually invent some new profanity when working with pin/collar system.

Aside from the pin/collar, the lack of a micro adjust pisses me off as well

That's why I like the older style Omega 1171 bracelet has micro adjustments in the clasp I got a new one waiting for my Omega Speedy when I get it back from service.Sorry to hear about the bent pins.

bent pin? Been there, done that. It sucks. I was only saved from temporary insanity by the fact I had an extra one (or two) in some spare links. If I can find mine and I got a spare, i'll drop it in an envelope and send it to you, Kin.

I had the self same problem and asked in the WTB section if any body had any for sale. I'd given away some of my links to various people when I frequented TZ so hence I had no spare pins. The prices some people were asking for pins on eBay was just stupid. I've just (within the last ten mins) from these guys as I thought the prices were more reasonable. If you can call it that for a small tiny piece of metal.
