Does anyone own this one? Aqua Terra 2502.50
I have always liked it, although have never owned one. I think it's the simplicity of everything, dial, date, case and bracelet that I am attracted to.

I believe Peter (Terpits) had one a few years back. It uses the 2500b movement IIRC.

I think Peter had the smaller version.
I have the 42mm Dave.

i've owned the 36mm version since released; one of my very first "real" watches.
the dial is amazing. very deep, rich black, oil like.
super versatile piece, looks good on its bracelet, leather, nato, etc.
one of a very few "keepers" over the last two decades, well, that i didn't have to reacquire multiple times at least, lol.
probably be buried in mine.

I had the 39mm version with silver dial for a time. Nice looking, legible watch, and 39mm was a good size for me. I was impressed with the case and bracelet - less so with the clasp (there's no microadjust, and the clasp mechanism just seems a bit flimsy). Also, while I'm sure most are fine, I'm just not sold on the reliability of the 2500b movement - I've read about too many recurring problems.
I think I'd rather go for one of the new versions with the 8500/8800/8900 movement. Also very good looking watches. I had a 41.5mm version with the 8500 movement - it wore smaller than it's specs in my opinion. Traded it for something I wanted more, of course.

Had a 42mm white dial about ten years ago. Great watch as I recall, but eventually got bored with it.

I think GS is a better choice for this look. The SBGR253 is a good alternative.

^^^ Even after a few years I still like the "Seiko GS" dial better than the new "GS Grand Seiko" dial. I think the Omega is a little better looking, but that GS is going to be a lot better built.

I had the red (Marui) dial 39mm version for a while and it was an amazing watch - great fit and thin, I only sold it because the red dial was too much in a small collection.
