1. The PO wil not be introduced with the caliber 8500. It will instead feature an updated version of the 2500 movement.

2. The new PO will have ceramic bezels (Liquid Metal) and the patented screw and pin system in the bracelet.

3. The PO will be made in a version with blue dial and bezel in addition to the already excisting coulours.

4. The retail price on the new PO should be araound the same as the liquidmetal limited edition.

5. The SMP bond wil loose the wave-pattern on the dial and get the updated 2500 movement as well.

A ceramic bezel blue PO would be sweet :excited:

Ceramic bezels and a blue color option would be pretty cool. At the Liquid Metal price, though? Yikes.

And a 2500D??!?!?! :smack:

Would be great to see the SMP w/o the wave pattern on the dial. While classic, I always thought it made the dial really reflective in a way I didn't always love.

Best I could find on price:

Planet Ocean on bracelet = US MSRP: $3950
Planet Ocean LiquidMetal LE on bracelet = US MSRP: approx. $5700

And the Liquid Metal PO:

BTW, one of things I've hated about the Liquid Metal up to this point is how poorly cut out the date window looks (I assume it's due to the material the dial is made of not allowing for a bevel). I MUCH prefer the beveled date window of the original matte dial. So to have a PO version with the matte dial + ceramic bezel is awesome. A nearly $2000 price increase is NOT. :crybaby:

I've said it before. Omega is not doing themselves any favors by pricing these in Sub-C territory. The PO is a great piece, but damn those prices are crazy.

Damn straight that'd be sweet, but not at the LM price. :crybaby: :tap: My bigger question is why they aren't introducing the 8500 in the new lineup of POs? If Omega is going to play with the big(ger) boys in price tags, they need to up the ante on what they are actually offering. Slapping a ceramic bezel on the existing PO and tweaking (whatever they are doing to it) the 2500 does not, in my mind, justify a $2K increase.

I wonder if the new ceramic bezels will fit the older POs (like mine)? Now that might put a smile on my face, if only for a little while. ;)

I still don't understand this LM craze. What's wrong with just a 'normal' PO? Mine's been great for several years now. Never once have I thought "Damn I wish this bezel was made out of Liquid Metal and I wish I paid a grand more for it."

Let's say they add the 8500 and a ceramic bezel to the PO. If it stayed at the price it is now, it would be the biggest bargain in all of WISdom.

Now I don't think the huge price increase is really worth it just for the ceramic, but if they did add a 8500, then I could see it.
