PO 42mm 8500 Ti
PO 42mm 8500 Ti
Has anyone tried one of these, I'm thinking being Ti it would be a little more comfortable. I've had the SS 8500 version and I did like it a lot but it is a fatty. I'm thinking either the SS Seamaster 300 or the PO 8500 blue Ti next.

I had this blue dial titanium 8500....
To be honest, after wearing the 2500 (both in 42mm), I could not get comfortable wearing it. It felt too tall and I prefer more of a classic, close to the wrist fit.

Damn that sure looks nice. I know it is pretty tall, Ti is probably a little more comfortable because of less weight.

I’ve had two or three of the 8500’s (ss) and at least four of the 2500’s. Although they sport the same name, they are not even close to the same watch, in my opinion... but I digress. The 8500 wears a bit more hockey-puck’ish - especially on bracelet - and the 2500 wears close to the wrist, as you know. I haven’t tried the Ti, but Omega does Ti very well - I suspect if you liked the overall size and upgrades that the 8500 ss brings, but only had issue with the weight, the Ti would be awesome. I personally prefer the original for daily wear and wish they were still available. You don’t have an omega boutique nearby to try the Ti version?

Fairly close, now in Chicago used to be much closer but would they still carry the 8500 Ti version as they have the new 8900 43.5mm versions now?deepcdvr wrote: ↑Tue Nov 06, 2018 3:59 pmI’ve had two or three of the 8500’s (ss) and at least four of the 2500’s. Oh, idk - I only buy used lol
I occasionally stop in a store in big airports or overseas but have no idea if they’d carry the Ti

Good to know Ben, I still want to try it but wouldn't sell my PO 2500 beforehand.
